Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Knit Knotch, your satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do. We have designed this Refund & Cancellation Policy to be fair, clear, and easy to understand.

Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined below. If you have any questions, our support team is always happy to help.

Order Cancellation

We understand that plans can change. You may cancel your order under the following conditions:

  • Before Dispatch: Orders can be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of placing them, provided they have not yet been dispatched from our warehouse.
  • After Dispatch: Once your order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. In such cases, you may initiate a return after delivery as per our returns policy.
  • Custom or Personalised Orders: Orders placed for customised or personalised products cannot be cancelled once production has begun.
  • Pre-Order or Backorder Items: Cancellations for pre-order or backorder items are accepted up to 48 hours before the estimated dispatch date.

To cancel an order, please contact us immediately at knitknotch@gmail.com with your order number and cancellation reason.

If your order has already been dispatched, please wait for delivery and then follow the return process outlined in this policy.

Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of the delivery date. To qualify for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and unwashed
  • All original tags must be intact and attached to the product
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging
  • A valid proof of purchase (order number or invoice) must be provided
  • The return request must be initiated within 2 days of the delivery date

Please Note: Returns requested after 2 days of delivery will not be accepted under any circumstances, except in cases of manufacturing defects.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are not eligible for return or refund due to hygiene, safety, or customisation reasons. These include:

  • Innerwear, underwear, socks, and hosiery products
  • Customised, personalised, or made-to-order items
  • Items purchased during final sale or clearance events marked as "No Returns"
  • Gift cards and vouchers
  • Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery
  • Products missing their original tags, labels, or packaging

We reserve the right to reject any return that does not comply with the above conditions. Items deemed ineligible will be sent back to the customer at their own expense.

How to Initiate a Return

Returning an item is simple. Follow these steps to get started:

  • Step 1 — Contact Us: Email us at knitknotch@gmail.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and your reason for the return.
  • Step 2 — Receive Approval: Our team will review your request and send a return authorisation confirmation within 2–3 business days.
  • Step 3 — Pack the Item: Securely pack the item in its original packaging with all tags attached. Include the invoice or a copy of your order confirmation inside the package.
  • Step 4 — Ship the Item: Send the package to the return address provided in your confirmation email. We recommend using a trackable courier service.
  • Step 5 — Refund Processed: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, your refund will be initiated within the timeline stated below.

Do not return any item without first receiving written return authorisation from our team. Unauthorised returns may not be processed.

Refund Process

Once we receive your returned item, our quality team will inspect it within 2–3 business days. You will receive an email notification confirming whether your return has been approved or rejected.

  • Approved Returns: A full refund will be issued to your original payment method. No store credit will be issued unless specifically requested by the customer.
  • Rejected Returns: If the item does not meet our return conditions (e.g., used, missing tags), it will be sent back to you and no refund will be issued.
  • Partial Approval: In certain cases, a partial refund may be offered if the item shows minor signs of use or is missing packaging but is otherwise in acceptable condition.

All refunds are processed back to the original payment method used during purchase. We do not issue refunds via cash or alternative payment methods.

Refund Timeline

After your return is approved, the refund will be processed within the following timelines:

  • Credit / Debit Cards: 2-3 business days from the date of refund initiation
  • UPI Payments: 3–5 business days
  • Net Banking: 5–7 business days
  • Wallets (e.g., Paytm, PhonePe): 2–5 business days
  • EMI Transactions: Refund will be credited to the card used; EMI cancellation is subject to your bank's policies

Please Note: Refund timelines may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. Knit Knotch is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions. If you have not received your refund within the stated timeline, please contact us.

Exchanges

We offer exchanges for a different size or colour of the same product, subject to availability at the time of the exchange request.

  • Exchange requests must be made within 2 days of delivery
  • The item must meet all return eligibility conditions (unused, tags attached, original packaging)
  • If the requested size or colour is unavailable, a full refund will be processed instead
  • Only one exchange is permitted per order item
  • Customers are responsible for the shipping cost of sending the item back for exchange
  • We will ship the exchanged item to you free of charge within India

To request an exchange, email knitknotch@gmail.com with your order number, the item you wish to exchange, and your preferred size or colour.

Damaged or Defective Items

We take great care in packaging every order. However, if you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, we sincerely apologise and will resolve the issue promptly.

  • Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery by emailing knitknotch@gmail.com
  • Include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and at least 2–3 photographs showing the damage or defect
  • Upon verification, we will arrange a free pickup and offer a full refund or replacement at no additional cost to you
  • If the item received is incorrect (wrong product or size), we will arrange a free exchange and cover all shipping charges

Important: Damage claims reported after 48 hours of delivery may not be accepted. We strongly recommend inspecting your order upon receipt.

Shipping Costs for Returns

The responsibility for return shipping costs depends on the reason for the return:

  • Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items: Knit Knotch will bear all return shipping costs and arrange a free pickup
  • Change of Mind Returns: The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges
  • Size or Colour Exchanges: The customer bears the cost of returning the item; we cover the cost of shipping the exchanged item back
  • Original Shipping Charges: Original shipping fees paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error

We recommend using a trackable shipping service for all returns. Knit Knotch is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during the return process.

Partial Refunds

In certain situations, only a partial refund may be granted at our discretion. These include:

  • Items returned with minor signs of use or wear that were not mentioned at the time of the return request
  • Items returned without original packaging but otherwise in good condition
  • Items that have been partially used, such as multi-piece sets where only some items are returned
  • Items returned after the 14-day window but within 21 days, subject to management approval

The partial refund amount will be communicated to you before processing. You have the right to decline and have the item returned to you at your own shipping cost.
